Thinking healthy is an ongoing process and a work in progress!

My passion is to promote wellbeing using the latest modalities and techniques to provide the most effective strategies of intervention, prevention and awareness to individuals, groups and organizations.

My goal is to create a supportive environment for my clients where they feel safe and secure. Together, we will work on learning new coping skills and strategies in order to help you get better and stay well.

I am a licensed mental health counselor, Director of Mental Health Counseling Service Westchester, PLLC, and the Chief of Assessments and Evaluations at the Horga lab at Columbia University Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry.

I have expertise in:

  • diagnostic evaluations,
  • clinical and neuropsychological assessments,
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy.

Within my research and clinical academic activities at Columbia University Medical Center, I provide training and supervision to professionals and research coordinators and oversee quality control.

My research and clinical work focus on:

  • the identification, characterization, and assessments of the symptoms and signs of psychiatric disorders,
  • as well as the latest evidence based psychological treatment.

If you are dealing with anxiety disorders such as social anxiety, panic disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders, mood disorders like depression or feeling overwhelmed, stressed, burnout and looking for a positive change, I am here to help you.

My interest as well is promoting wellbeing and wellness in the healthcare field for groups and organizations through active presentations, workshops, and webinars. These workshops are designed to:

  • empower individuals and organizations
  • by teaching evidence-based practice, active and proactive strategies that provide concrete, actionable steps to promote wellness, recovery, and resiliency.

I also served as a senior research scientist at the Center for Practice Innovations, Division of Behavioral Health Services and Policy Research and the Division of Anxiety Disorders at Columbia University Medical Center and consultant for Stony Brook University, Department of Psychiatry and Intra-Cellular therapy.

I lectured extensively for support groups, designed and presented TV episodes regarding mental health disorders. I organized and conducted workshops with international experts and I have numerous publications in high impact journals. I am fluent in English, French, and Arabic.

To my practice, I bring years of experience as a researcher, clinician, and public health professional. I tailor my integrative approach to everyone’s need to help you become the better, happier, more fulfilled you.
